What is the HuntKit dead man's switch?
A timer for the stand: if the hunter does not check in when it expires, the server alerts the stored emergency contacts via email and SMS with the last known location — even if the hunter's phone is destroyed, dead or out of coverage.
Does the SOS system cost extra?
No. Safety and emergency features in HuntKit are always free and never behind a paywall.
What happens in a dead zone?
The alert runs server-side — the missing check-in is enough. There is also an offline SMS fallback directly from the device and a test alarm to verify the chain.
Do my contacts see where I am?
In an emergency, contacts receive a live link with the last known location.
