Privacy & GDPR at HuntKit
- Where is HuntKit data stored?
- Server-side data resides in the EU (Frankfurt region). The primary storage location for app data is the device itself; the cloud is used for synchronization.
- Does HuntKit use third-party tracking or analytics?
- No. No external analytics services, no external CDNs, fonts are self-hosted.
- How is the document vault protected?
- The vault (hunting license, firearms permit etc.) is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and zero-knowledge: the key is derived on the device from the user's passphrase (PBKDF2 with at least 600,000 iterations). The server cannot decrypt the contents.
- Can I export or delete my data?
- Yes, both are self-service in the app: full data export (GDPR Art. 20) and account deletion (Art. 17) including all cloud data.
